I bought one in Thailand for £17 that plays Video CDs in addition to MP3, CDDA etc. Complete with remote control, headphones, two types of power supply; car and mains, rechargeable circuit, a cassette adaptor for car audio use. PAL/NTSC. Bargain.
No use to you of course...0 -
I think richer sounds had a cheap one on their deal of the day - I assume they would still do a cheap one normally?

yep I'd go with richer sounds..
I want to replace mine.. my ancient phillips one is crappy now.. it was one of the first models and hence they hadn't got it right..0 -
Cheapest place for this item is at https://www.aria.co.uk
They have a range of them from around £20. Most will play VCDs as well.0 -
Most MP3 players (including MP3CD players) will not play WMA's. Check carefully this is mentioned in the spec if this is essential to you.
Mine was bought last December from Lidl's for £30 and came with all the extras (It had a CD-Cassette Adaptor, Mains Adaptor, Rechargable Batteries, Cigerette Lighter Adaptor, Phono-3.5mm Jack Lead and Earplugs). The Aria one looks good but the inc. VAT price is £23.44 and it gives a delivery estimate of £6.95+VAT!!! This may (hopefully) change when you enter your location.

although why anyone in the world would use wma files is beyond me..0 -
Probably because they're half the size of MP3 = twice as many on a CD0

And much more fiddly - to get MP3's onto my Creative MuVo MP3 Player I could just drag them from the folder into the Removable Disk folder.
Not so with most WMA's. I have to go into WMP (yeuch!) and use transfer to portable device else they wouldn't play.
Steer clear from WMA's. If you need a good ripper (CD-MP3 converter) then try Exact Audio Copy combined with the LAME encoder.Alex Jones0 -

tooo right.. or CD-EX with LAME (remember to set it to vbr - you get high quality and smaller sizes.. )0
