I found it both uncomfortable and compelling. They'd got the characters spot on.

CCCS Chester helped with the research for this programme - I missed it as the munchkin wasn't very well but I'm sure it'll be repeated.

It was very good indeed and it really shows spending can be just as addictive as drink or drugs. Very compelling and I hope it will be repeated soon.

I saw only the last 15 minutes - when the husband was asking her how much it added up to and she was trying to explain it was x amount here, cleared by a loan for x amount here, but she'd transferred x amount to here, and then he just said 'how much', I felt sick it was so familiar. I'd like to see it from the beginning and hope it is repeated - it may well be on BBC 3 soon, programmes often pop up there a few days later.

EDIT: Found a link to the BBC page about it, with clips to watch

I missed the first 15 minutes of this. What I watched was compelling, soul destroying and I thought a really accurate portrayal of the offers from card companies and compulsion to spend. I don't have such a desire to spend - particularly as I have just bought the childrens school uniforms for next year, and felt really sick at having to do it! However we are assulted by advertisements on television, papers, shops etc - it is easy to see how people can be swept into this world.

    A great programme I thought.
