What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

Thank you for the hugs. Maxi was 12 and a lovely natured doggily-wog. We knew it was coming as his legs were going and he was going blind (he always had selective hearing so we can't be sure he was deaf ;)) but he was still eating and his tail was still waggling, but today he lay down in the middle of his walk and looked up at mum and she just knew. Digger must know too as he's not eaten anything all day :(.

But we've lots of happy memories. :D And plenty of piccies and Digger to spoil. It'll just be very odd the next time I visit my parents and there's only one of them :(
It's always sad, nicca, no matter how much warning you have. Your mum did the right thing and that's what you've got to try to think of, hard as it is..... all part of being a loving a responsible pet owner unfortunately. You'll have to make sure Digger gets lots of attention now, he'll be missing his friend:(

Keep remembering the happy times, that will get you through it.

    Take care, thinking about you.

Thank you. My friend has a 4 year old German Shepard so I'm going to visit them and spoil the doggy tonight. Though she'll probably roll her eyes at me and wonder why I'm hugging her so much :) (the dog! My friend is not as cuddly as his doggy).

Hi, nicca sorry to hear about your loss, they are realy part of the family. I have never been without dogs all my life, it never gets any easier when you lose one.
What you have to tell yourself is that they couldnt have had a better life with anyone else. Personally nothing people do surprises me, I only get realy mad when I see animals mistreated.

My old choclate Lab is ten, I have 2 border terriers 10 and 3 and they are just having a rest before the do a 300 mile overnight drive with me.

Max will be looking down wondering what all the fuss is about.

    Best wishes, handyman123

    BUMP

So sorry to hear your news Nicca - I know what it is like to lose a beloved pet, both young or in their later years - it doesn't get any easier but as you know he is free of pain now and at rest (or chasing rabbits in the sky as you say)

The beauty of dogs is how much they give to you and that stays with you forever even when they are gone

Lots of best wishes and hugs

    Hi everyone

nicca - hope you have had plenty of doggy cuddles this evening, just what you need tonight I think.

3Dogs, Tixy and handyman - hope you're all OK. Quiet on here today - niddy makes a lot of noise...
