    Afternoon all..its been one of those days..sigh.

    Had to buy a new battery and had a lot of bother with it, managed to get it fitted into the car but it is taller than the old one so the clamp doesnt fit..it is held in with a strap now (very heath robinson) but..hurrah I can still remember how to drive and I drove as far as Tesco for a rummage in their whoopsie section..came away with a lemon meringue pie (meringue a bit battered but its edible), half a dozen barn eggs, some porkie pies and then shopped in other bits and bought stuff like cheese (they had an offer on so 1 lump of cheese is now in the freezer).

    So what have I missed?

    Numpty will be pleased too because I have ordered something via fatcheese.

    Glad you have your car back on the road Horace. Does it feel odd after not driving for so long? I always feel a bit strange for a mile or 2 if I don't drive for a week or so.

    Lemon meringue pie is a great pie - and who cares that its battered, it will still taste delicious.

    Tixy - love the signs :T

    Slimming club tonight - I paid for the 3 1/2 loss last week with a 1 1/2 lb gain this week and I did nothing different !! Still that is 2 lbs over two weeks which I musn't grumble about - oh but I did :D

    DH put 4 1/2 lbs on - but he has been hitting the 'hidden' sweeties all week - still he is still within his target range
