Credit Card not showing on Experian report

Hi, I hope this is the right board for my question...
I owe just over £9000 on a credit card which does not appear on my Experian report. 2 questions:
1) Why would this be?
2) Do I have to declare it when applying for a mortgage next year? (Hope to have paid off a bit by then!)

It could be that your card company only report to Equifax. Have you tried checking your Equifax report?
Yes you would need to declare it.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

How long have you had the card?
Have you always made payments on it?
Have you moved address recently or since you took out the card?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

How long have you had the card? Ages, about 15 years
Have you always made payments on it? Yes
Have you moved address recently or since you took out the card? We've been at this address for 7 years next month [/QUOTE]
Never checked reports before so don't know if it's ever shown.0 -
Seems strange then Gillian
I guess you could try callcredit report as a final check, although I haven't heard of any lender reporting only to callcredit, I though most reported to at least one of the other 2.
I guess if not then there is not much to be done about it, they don't have to report to the CRAs but obviously usually do.
Sometimes a debt disappears off your report for a month or so when it is sold to a debt collector, and then appears under the debt collectors name a few weeks later, but if you are not behind on payments then that doesn't seem to be the case here.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Also, some Creditors don't report the credit until something negative happens on it e.g. missed payments, CCJ etc....0

I've never missed a payment as I've always had a DD set up.
I guess it's of no major consequence. I just got a bit of a surprise when I saw the total debts on the Experian report!0
