America doesnt like china , its in economic turmoil , so sets its sights on protectionism. The force china to buy dollars and american debt merely to trade there.

Just now you would think that toyota is a mass murderer on the news in america , every opportunity to make out their cars are deathtraps , you cant tell me they want america to buy american using the media as free advertising.I think toyota and japan are beginning to clue up to the facts on whats going on.But !!!!!! what do you think happens when they cant use four on the floor , turn off ignitions and a clutch.

The poster on about the cia , and uk , involvement in overseas skirmishes is factual. You have contras , mujahadeen ,Usa aided china in the war with japan and so on.

I beleive nothing of american history , especially when they try to make out they are innocent victims....including the war of independance , which ironically was terrorism against the british not unlike bin laden's boys against the foreign invaders. But when it comes to it you can say its not about oil until your blue in the face , but you would have to be stupid or a vegetable not to know it bloody is about oil , whereas the war of independance was about keeping the rich richer in america through not paying taxes to the crown.....and the people were suckered or bullied into being terrorists , sorry militia , on their words and threat of eviction off their lands and more.

Bit like winston churchill whom ripped off someone else when he said " of course history will be kind to me , for I intend to write it".....now its obama's turn to type away history on his afroamericanberry.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

What do you mean by unprovoked? I meant not caused by a direct military threat posed to the United States, e.g. the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor.

I mean supporting an ally from (actual or threat of) military action.

Vietnam - took over from French supporting the democratic government against armed uprising
Korea - Ask anyone in south korea are they happy that they are not ruled by kim jong ill (or what ever his name is) even if he is "so ronrey"
Cuba - Attempted to reclaim the country after a communist uprising against the democratic govt of the day.

    etc.

For all their faults the Yanks have been our best allies for years, and although they aren't perfect I'd generally want to be on their side in any future conflict.

More like vietnam - domino effect policy anti communism , ie to prevent democracy bringing in communism.

    Korea - see above.

Cuba - as above , cuba revolts against its dictators and rich entourage , few years later america uses domino policy again.

Iraq- makes a madman as a lapdog , he revolts against his masters , invades neighbouring country because they side drill under his lands.Fails on first attempt to put the leash back on the dog , does same again.Do they do the same to zimbabwe and african nations to remove dictators , no.

Afghanistan - aided the mujaheen for decades secretly against the red bear , now fighting the same people they helped train and fund.

WWII-Came in to the game late , but thinks it saved the world , when in fact it economically saved them not europe.Britain finally pays off loans and bills to america 50 years later , europe paid nothing.Conducts secret war against japan , allows pearl harbour to happen as a reason to enter conflict.

Falklands - Britain claims land 1690 , long before a state or govt exists in brazil.Argentina invades falklands , america stays out.Argentina today is rattling sabres , america once again decides to stay out of it...reason , they dont want a war with a combined SA countries .... they only like to fight islam and far enough away not to be a problem for a real war nearby or on their own soil.

But yeah your right , they are our special pals , or are we its special needs pal to take a liberty with?
