Blondie, guys, here are a few searches off the main site, it probably doesn't bring up ALL brokers who lease cars but they certainly seem to offer the cheapest deals!

The first search is for BMW saloons at less than £250 per month on personal terms, there are 75 offers. BUT these cars will have to be collected in the UK.

    http://www.contracthireandleasing.com/special-offers-cars.asp?Start=1&VehicleType=0&Make=BMW&Model=3-Series+Saloon&Keywords=&PriceMin=50&PriceMax=250&x=70&y=5

2nd search is for another car, the Yaris..just so you can see how it works/compares.

I am collecting my BMW next Sat....:)......off Wessex fleet solutions, though not currently the cheapest, Skyfleet had messed me about!

Good luck with your new car."Happy Motoring" car leasing seems to have taken off in the more expensive range of cars.
Had a look there on skyfleet looks good although you say they messed you about.i notice it says full maintenance included. would that be done in Northern ireland ? will do a bit more looking about but keep us posted how smooth the tranaction goes on sat.
  • Blondie, the care has been delivered to the dealer, am collecting it next weds actually, so allIve got to do is fax a cover note to them. When you collect the car, you get the full BMW "experience", just as if you are buying privately, or so I am told!

Yes Skyfleet ran into a little difficulties with the big lease companies re supplying cars via the NI dealerships and then they just stopped contacting me!! Not very inspiring!

Not sure about the maintenance included aspect, mine isnt.

But if you are really.....really smart, get a diesel BMW, two yr contract, 20k miles allowance, if you are a careful driver, it wont need serviced until 22/25k miles, also tyres should last for the 20k miles, and of course they pay the road tax!! Overall outlay....£O..if you are lucky!

Let us know if you take this option!

    I got a good deal on a 325iSE at https://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk
They were really good, easy to set up and they delivered 2 weeks after order.
I'm really pleased with the car. Good luck on finding what you want!
  • Have emailed skyfleet and a girl clled amanda emailed me back to say they dont deal with northern ireland due to the finance part or something....that company is a no no then.....

Blondie21 I got it a few months ago on a really good deal. You just need to watch out for which companies have good deals on. But go with a reputable company.
  • its hard to know who is reputable these days.being from northern ireland does not seem to have many benefits when buying almost anything....thanks again. do you think leasing a brand new car is less costly that buying say a year old 3 series ( the new shape ) how would you go about finding out the depreciation costs against leasing one ? anyone ?
Be gentle with me im blonde.......lol

Don't forget to add in the cost of tying up your capital/borrowing for the full purchase price, and also the hassle of selling on, when you do your calculations.

Depreciation is hard to forecast, but I would use 50% depreciation after 3 years for a diesel BMW. Some are more, some are less.

I did find a depreciation calculator though!

  • Guys, collected car from the dealer in Bath, relatively painless then drove it home, very pleased great motor and Wessex kept me appraised all the way, and even phoned me to make sure I was happy, the sort of service I like!!

So, they pay the road tax fro 2 years, plus first reg fee, if I am smart might even avoid getting it serviced.....ie it has a variable service interval indicator.....!! So all it costs is a pair of rear tyres!

I see I have a couple of pms, so must answer those apols for the delay!
  • This is the BMW rates given by the market leader......good huh?...or am I missing something?

Looks really cheap on the surface - you click the "show payment details" link and find out you have 6 month deposit rather than the usual 3.
