CCJ - Has it completely disappeared

My ccj disappeared from my credit file this year. Is this completely removed ???even from public records????

If it has gone off your credit file and you have a good reason to believe that is correct, ie it has expired after six years or you have paid it off within 28 days of receiving it or have applied successfully for it to be set aside then it is likely to be correct. If it has just disappeared I would investigate further. Your credit file reflects the public record held by the registry trust. You can check with them.

So does this mean if it has been settled and it has been over 6 years, their will be no record of this publicly?

And just because they have no record doesnt necesarily mean that it has been removed from your personal credit file as held by the credit reference agencies which is ultimately what matters, the main ones being equifax, experian and callcredit. Obtain copies of your statutory report from each of them, it will cost you £2.00 each to check by post to your registered address. Their files are meant to be updated from the Registry Trust system but mistakes do happen.
