Title should say 'greatly'! Sorry!
Hello all ,
I'm new to the site. Just wondered if I can put forward my personal scenario, and see if anyone can offer any guidance?
Current debt:
Sainsbury's secured loan - £11,000
Barclaycard - £4,000
Sainsbury's Mastercard - £800
Overdraft - £1,700
Total: £17,500
I originally took out the big loan to clear my credit cards and smaller debts. Since then, my husband has been made redudant, although he has since found new work, and I lost my job, although I'm confident i'll have a new job next week. So as a result of all the upheaval, we've not missed payments, but it is all starting to catch up with us, to the point where i'm considering paying the mortgage with my cc this month. Starting to feel like things may be getting out of control.
Has anyone got any constructive advice? I would even just appreciate hearing i'm not alone in this (my fault entirely) mess! Thanks x

Welcome and hugs, to say you're not alone would be an understatement, there are thousands of us who are/have been in similar situations.
Someone will come along and say "complete a statement of affairs" sorry I don't have the link, but if you search that term you will doubtless find a link to it, and then you have completed the difficult first step of posting it.
Good luck. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Pop over to the debt free wanabe board with a statement of affairs.
As credit card debt tends to be higher than other lending do you have anything that you can sell to reduce that debt?0 -
Thanks for that! Apologies for posting on the wrong forum!0
