i was looking at the logitech mm50 speakers which get great reviews on Amazon and are only £68 - plus they look a hell of a lot more portable.

The portability is kind of tricky must admit....they have an inbuilt handle (which is a deep groove rather than anything you can wrap your fingers around), but once you add batteries, gets a little hard to carry. Without batteries inside the unit, no problem.
Have seen a carry bag and a harness to make carry easier around the net though.
