Help & Advice appreciated...

Hi all,

I am new to this site and quite new to debt and having little or no money, and am getting to the point where I am thinking how will I pay for that and what will happen if I pay this but not that.

Anyways here is my situation,

I am in full time employment and earn a decent wage, however with money being tight over xmas I over indulged on catalogue spending and am now left with nearly £1000 over 3 accounts. I am also getting married in 3 month so am paying for everything to do with that as well, in between this I have taken out a payday loan which has lead to another and anopther and another until I am at 4 payday loans, an earlier loan with A/L, 3 storecards, and all the normal monthly bills.

I have tried to get a loan from various companies unsuccessfully, cant get a credit card, was going to be charged more to consolidate through a consolidation company than am paying now and feel like im hiding in a downward spiral at a 100 mile an hour.

I have seen menton of charity credit managers on here or something like that and just wondered could anyone please offer any advice at all?????

Many thanks.

    Hi and welcome

I'd suggest a couple of things that will help you. First is to work out a detailed statement of affairs (its like a monthly budget) using this link http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html

Then that should let you see your full position and how much you can afford to spend on your wedding (congrats by the way) and on your debts. And importnant whether you can afford your debts.

If you post the results on here we will probably find some areas we can help with money saving tips.

Then if you are showing a shortfall each month you can seek advice from the people in this link - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2077631

    Hey

Tixy is right. Post up your income with deatils of all your outgoings and there's loads of lovely people on here who will offer advice.

Not all of it will suit your situation and some of it you might not agree with, but it's great for getting objective opinions and seeing things in a way that had never occurred to you before?

When are you getting married? Let's see if we can help you befoe the big day so you can enjoy the preparations and day rather than stress about money!
