Hi guys,
I have recently found a supplier of very good value discount lines or pound line products.
Now i want to sell these products online to others.
Does anyone know of a good website shop that i can buy. I want customers to be able to use all payment methods like google checkout, card payments, paypal etc.
Also i want the host to help put me in google - marketing etc.
Does anyone have an idea on how to do this?

You could use "zen cart" which is a free ecommerce package. It's a little complex to deal with at first but there is lots of help. You'll still need to buy your domain name and webhosting. Zen cart helps you manage the "store" aspects of things. You will need to download it but it's safe if you go to the main site.
Or, you could make an eBay shop.
Or you could search out a small, local website developer and ask them to make it for you.0 -

Will these "pound line products" look good to potential customers when they have to pay postage on top of the pound?
before you do anything about a web site you should check to see if you can actually sell them. Or, more importantly, people are buying them at the price you will be selling them for (inc P+P).
Check out ebay, to see if they are being sold on there, but check to see if they are actually selling, many auctions on ebay end without the item being sold.0 -
http://www.freewebstore.org is what hhh suggested to you on the other thread0

That is a very valid point and i appreciate it. I have seen on eBay most of the pound products i wil be selling with a postage cost of like £1.50.
Although i am hoping that a bulk sale might do the trick on the cheaper products. Not all are poundline products. There are a lot of discounted products that would cost £20 in places such as amazon.com and play.com. These ranges are from pet toys, quality kitchenware, homeware products that will be sold at a higher price.
But yes i do have a considerable amount of the poundline stock too which could be a problem for me. The only possible way i have though, is to group the cheaper products. Either sell them in a bulk quantity or group them as a wholesale type pallet. I could sell them at a slighly dearer price to have much i get them for but not a big margin in price difference. Might come in handy to someone who has a brick and mortars shop.
Am not sure, guess il have to think deeper about this. Thanks for pointing this outgeordie_joe wrote: »Will these "pound line products" look good to potential customers when they have to pay postage on top of the pound?

Have you looked at ebay's wholesale and job lots section? You may be able to sell on there to people who have market stalls, car boot stalls etc.
Also look into those free advertising papers, you may be able to sell bulk items to local people who do car boot sales etc.0 -
Yes i have thought about selling the cheaper lines through job lots on eBay. Hopefully there would be some interest.
If i had a shop, it would be easier lol. Ive also thought about opening a market stall but not sure if these products would fit into the market stall idea.0 -

You may be right, if the shop is in the right place.Ive also thought about opening a market stall but not sure if these products would fit into the market stall idea.
Have you thought about doing a boot sale just to see if they would sell. Try teaming up with one or two other people and share the cost of the stall. That way you only need buy enough stock to fill half or one third of a stall.0
