I'm owed a lot of money

Today, I am on here because it is me who is owed money rather than looking for a way to get out of debt. I'm a single mother of two & work as a self employed child minder. Sometimes I have had problems with clients letting me down with payment. I have issued 4 CCJs in the last 10 years of being self employed. One debtor was paying me regularly but has recently moved house & has stopped paying. I don't know where she has moved to so I'm unable to take any further court action to enforce payment. I find the small claims court very unhelpful with these problems and will offer no advice as to what I can do next. Does anyone know of a way for me to find out where the debtor has moved to? I don't want to use an agency as these are so expensive. Thank you

Not the most helpful response DGJ!
Rosie, I'm assuming DGJ is trying to say it will be very difficult to do! Short of hiring a private dectective!
I empathise with your predicament. My dad is a self employed joiner and this happens to him on a regular basis, he has lost a lot of money over it and it causes much stress for the entire family.
I need to apologise as my post is also not helpful as I don't know what you can do. Hopefully bumping this will mean some-one out there can give you more concrete advice.
Good luck

With these issues in business, debtors are a bit of a hazard. Perhaps you could put it in proportion and just estimate how much of your childminding income has gone bad? I would say it is such a small percentage that your effort is best spent looking forward rather than back.
By that, I mean that your business plan should be quite ruthless towards people who owe you - basically don't extend more than say a weeks credit, refuse to take a child once you are owed a week, until the money is paid and once you have a space that way, fill it unless the money comes your way quickly.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
