Good. They shouldn't ask for it then.
If you put your credit or debit card details in the application, I would phone the card provider and ask that they do not make that payment. That is if the deal is definately not what you want. But I would stop them doing any further work for you.
I would also suggest you make sure you can get the alternative deal before you burn your bridges.
If I am wrong about the card issue, I welcome being corrected. It's not my forte.
