I contacted CCCS on Monday - and as soon as I got through and tried to speak I burst into tears and couldn't get my words out for a few minutes! I bet the girl on the phone must've thought !!!!!!! Felt loads better afterwards though! I have my appointment on 15 August too. Good luck to your OH! xxx

It's pretty much as Spuddy said :D

    Spuddy - You alright hun?:o

I'm good WG, are you OK love?

Our DMP officially starts on Saturday, but I'm not sure what to expect to happen really

Apart from that, all seems OK. All but one of our creditors have cashed their cheques for our initial payment, so thats a start innit?

I'm enjoying having a bank account in the black to the first time in my married life (13 years)

Keep up the good work WG :D

Aww bless! that's horrible. I had problems with debt years ago due to a negative equity situation. I sorted it all out in the end but I went through months of stress with my battle with the Halifax! I'm sure Debt Management companies are used to people getting emotional about these things as I know that when I was worrying about debt I couldn't talk about it to anyone with welling up. Hence the reason I became so good at letter writing!! lol

Good luck with everything Carrie, I'm sure it will all work out for you in the end.

I'm all good, apart from the evil NTL !!!!!!ing up my internet and TV connection

Saturday? you sure it's not Tuesday? that’s the first ;)

Nothing will happen overnight, your still gonna get letters and calls for a while but they will gradually slow down and even stop in some cases!

Wooo for the black bank account :D

Don't forget i'm here if you need anything :o

We are used to people getting emotional but it can affect us quite badly as well.

A few of us have been known to have a cry ourselves after speaking to some people and we can take breaks when we need to as well as it gets very overwhelming sometimes.

We have NTL broadband, but got sick of the telly late last year and swapped over to Sky.

Yes, OK, it's Tuesday. Thank goodness for that - gives me a few extra days to tax the flippin car :rotfl:

I don't really know what I was expecting to happen on DMP start day. Might be an excuse for a bottle of plonk ehh

I know you're there love, don't know what I'd do without you :A

I can't imagine what it must be like for you in the call centres working in this environment all day! I couldn't do it, I'm a worrier anyway so I would be worrying about everybody elses problems :)

Well done anyway, from what I can tell you are a lifeline to many many people.

    Not a call centre!

There are 60 of us in the Client Support dept and we're like a little family!

It is quite difficult to switch off from the 'money-head', but most of us have been where you are so you're never going to be judged. Like the Koala Brothers - "we're here to help". (can you tell I have a 3 year old?!?:rotfl: )

LOL the Koala brothers? that's a new one on me. My daughter is 8 going on 9 so those types of programs are no more in this house (thank the lord! lol)

Sorry I couldn't think of what else to call it except a call centre. Didn't mean to offend :) Not that there is anything wrong with call centres or people working in them....i'll get my coat
