Hiya everyone, tonight I have been reading some members first posts, I can relate to most people as just a few months ago I was in the same position and it was me shyly typing my first post, and putting up my SOA and now it amazes me how far I have come since August!!
When i joined I was in arrears with council tax and gas and electric and now they are all up to date - As you can see from my signature I have settled THREE debts! I have massively reduced my VERY balance from approx £1400 to £399!
I am not scared to answer my phone, I have not received any red letters - I put all my lose change into my copper jar, I also have a sealed £2 jar, and for the first time in my life I have savings :j
I am budgeting and making payments on time and the best thing is I still feel relatively normal i.e. I don't feel I am missing out on things as everything is budgeted for and I am taking advantage of all the offers and bargains that are out there!
I just wanted to thank all you lovely members out there who have helped me along the away, some of which may not even realise!
To anyone who is just starting out - stick with it cos it does work and when you see the numbers go down it really is amazing xx

thanks for this post, it's lifted my spirits no end. I'm sat up with a sudden case of insomnia (I have to get up for work at 6 ) and went through my projected finances for the next 3 months and became very depressed at the thought of being skint for at least another 3 months but more than likely until August. Not that I want to go out and spend loads of money but just not to have to watch every penny would be nice. Anyway thanks u lifted me out of it!
