Try peppermint capsules which you can buy in boots or charcoal tablets bought in the health shop these really help my stomach, without peppermint capsules my bloating is very bad. Also try mint tea that helps, hot baths also help to get the gas out.0

Hi, thank you all so ,much.
All last week I was fine! Totally fine. Whereas the week before it was awaful - by the end of each day my loose trousers were bursting at the seems!
I have been making more of an effort to walk and stretch, which I think has helped a lot. But in terms of diet I am not sure it could be an allegy as I have eaten nothing different (including bread and milk).
I will try the other ideas if it get worse again - like water and lemon (I think I have heard of this before as part of a health plan) and also peppermint and charcoal tablets.
Thanks0 -

Take one probiotic (biocare make the best ones) a day and keep a food diary.
Bloating triggers for me are dairy and fruit.4.30: conduct pigeon orchestra...0 -
At the risk of disgusting people...
Maybe, if it's only happening on work days, it could be due to not going to the toilet as often as you need to, or holding in wind!
Sorry, I just know that this can cause me to have a painful/bloated tummy

I sometimes suffer from this. For me it is usually because I am subconciously worried/uptight about something - happened loads when I first moved in with OH! Due to holding things in so to speak lol. Rarely get it now but when I do it's usually when we have had a looong car journey on the mainland. Enclosed spaces = hold everything in lol.£2 Savers Club 2011 (putting towards a deposit

Have you thought about lactose intolerance? This can cause the symptoms you describe. There is a very good lactose free milk that you can get from the supermarket. I have tried it and it tastes just the same to me. Its just milk with half the lactose removed and the rest of the lactose converted to a more digestible form. Of course, it would mean abstaining from yoghurts and cheese too.
Worth trying just to see if you improve. Sometimes people can tolerate some lactose in their diet, so it needn't mean you won't ever be able to have any of these foods ever again.0 -
I've found that products containing yeast can make me feel very bloated sometimes and being at a desk in an office with other people around all day doesn't help either. Sometimes a quick five-minute walk outside by myself twice a day helps IYSWIM0
