What happens now?

Thanks to the lovely people on here I contacted cccs and have gone through everything I need to with them. I have sent the letters to my creditors along with token payments, cancelled my direct debits and opened a new bank account un-linked to any of my debts. I am just awaiting the pack through from cccs and we have agreed that I start paying them from 1st April.
I am feeling quite positive but also slightly nervous as I am unsure what will happen now. Will my creditors just accept the payments and leave me alone or will they try and persue me further?
Can anyone who has been at this stage before advise me what to expect now?
Thanks

Hi magical can't offer any advice as I'm at exactly the same stage as you!. DMP starting with CCCS 1/4 and all letters now sent. It's scary but strangely exciting, we've got our own money in the account for the first time in years instead of the overdraft.
I spoke to CCCS today and they said not to worry (easier said than done:D) as most creditors accept the plan with no problems. Here's hoping then:j Let us know how you get on, we can compare notes:rotfl:0 -
Some will accept, others will try to pursue you.
The main thing to remember is to refuse to discuss or even confirm any identity questions over the phone. Have your CCCS case number by the phone and refer them back to CCCS.After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
Hi Happyhaddock, best of luck with yours. Let me know how its goes and I'll keep you updated on mine.
Thanks for the advice GeorgeUK, I have made a note of my reference number, although all of my creditors have my old mobile and house phone number so not sure how many calls i'll get. Only cccs have my new numbers.
Fingers crossed it'll all be fine. It's not like I'm not offering a fair amount of money. I'll be paying £461 per month and it'll take me 5 and a half years to pay it all off.0 -
Im in the same boat too, just applied for an IVA with Payplan and waiting for all the bits to come through for me to sign.
Im actually daring to think what it might be like to have no debts, just dont want to get my hopes up to be refused at the final hurdle

Hi Magical and all the others, well done for taking that step. I did the same last year, so I'm no pro but at least it's all still very recent memory.
I have 9 creditors and 8 of them have been fine with accepting the reduced repayments, some have frozen the interest, others haven't. 1 has gone to a debt recovery agent but I'm happy with that as they're not applying interest or charges, just happy to receive the reduced monthly repayments.
Ironically, the creditor I owe the least amount to (around £230) have been the biggest pain in the neck - constantly phoning and sending letters/demands (how many "final demands" can one firm issue for gawd's sake?!).
But the CCCS have been marvellous and offered guidance and reassurance all the way. Things may seem to get worse before they get better, especially during those early weeks, when it seems like everyone is on your back. But stick with it - it's all worth it when you get your monthly statement from CCCS showing your debt is reducing rather than going up - a real novelty for me!
