odesk?

Options
Hi - I have been looking at the odesk website & thinking of joining, we are both desperate to earn more money and get our debts cleared, the problem is though that we both work full time - Monday to Friday. Do you think it is worth us joining odesk or are the jobs on there mainly week work jobs? Whatever we decide to do we cannot let it interfere with our main jobs & put them at risk.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Julie

There will be plenty of jobs on there you can do in evenings / weekend. However, you will be competing with candidates from countries where $1 per hour is attractive, so you need to have a very specific skill set it you want to make more money than a big issue seller.

It is a bit annoying. You could work ten hours and only earn £15.
Not work it in my opinion. There is always someone offering less.
There was a data entry job and I never got it, the person who did offerend 0.70p an hour.
You could always offer your services elsewhere, local paper, etc. Get some cards printed up. Lots of businesses, accountant etc are looking for odd jobs here and there, and you'd get at least minimum wage.
