Barclays Graduate Loan

Tried to get a graduate loan with Barclays - starting new job in Sept, wanted loan to pay for car (need one for job), other debts (about 2K). Application was declined. Reason? -my estimated outgoings did not match what was on my previous bank statements. This really annoyed me as my bank statements were from my time as a student - lots of outgoings - rent, groceries etc etc. As I was moving home to live practially rent free (parents supporting me until i can afford to buy a house), my outgoings were a lot lot less. Plus I wasn't in student life mode anymore, so my phone bill was less, less socialising. I am annoyed that to assess a loan for my professional life, they looked at my student life. I gace them proof that I would be earning £X a month, the repayments for the loan were only £125 a month. I feel shafted and as a protest I am closing my Barclaycard account down - who ironically have told me that I am a brilliant customer with a great credit history!!! Sorry for the rant!
