What a waste of time!! ARGHH

As some of you may be aware I'm currently unemployed. I have only had one interview out of so many applications I have sent out.

Anyway lets cut to the chase, The interview i had was with Waitrose, My first inteview in 11years anyway went badly, Didn't get the job. I had been looking on their website almost daily to see if there was any other vacancies there, They have been many but each time i apply they get suspended almost immediately!! Being a bit devious this morning and desperate to work I reregistered on their site with my other email, having spent the last two hours tweaking my application to make it perfect(well in my opinion) lo and behold it gets suspended again, I'm assuming that they are using some sort of plagiarism software:mad: i'd understand it the vacancy's where high flying post's, but it's only shelf stackers etc!!

I am applying for other vacancies to, I just had that little chance with these and my interview let me down, surely i should be able to have sort of second chance with the company.

its unfortunate but why should they give you another chance? They prob get hundreds of applications so banning previous people who have not made the grade maybe narrows down their search and saves them time.

Also are you sure that is what is happening and its not something silly like other employees have taken the job?

I'm pretty sure this what's happening, I can understand if the vacancy had been filled, But i'm trying for several other vacancies that they have.

Have you had feedback after the first interview?

Unless you have and they have encouraged you to apply, there is little point continuing down the same road.

isnt there usually some thing with shops and some companies that say if ur unsuccessful u cant apply for six months?

I did ask for some feedback and was told that she would contact me again with some feedback. But i'm also applying for other jobs there which i haven't had interviews for.

I have emailed a few times to ask if i could reapply but i never receive an answer, I have about other questions i have had so i know the email address is watched. It would be only common courtesy to let me know either way. Oh well there loss i suppose. I just really want to get back into work ASAP.:j

I've just received an email back, Stating that it is company policy not to accept applications from previously unsuccessful candidates for six months for ANY vacancy that I have! I think this is a bit harsh but at least i know now and i can stop applying for positions there.

You know, good for you for keeping positive and being so proactive in getting a job and not giving up to a life of benefits. I can empathise on being out of work -demoralising and depressing and so hard to keep positive and cheery. With this attitude something will come your way. All the best of luck to you my friend.

OP just a thought but you say you have applied for alot of jobs and not got anywhere, had you read your applcations and corrected any spelling mistakes, grammar etc

local aldi had a poster up, for store assistants, from £8/hr.. though the peeps working in store that day seemed dead bored.
