Liability, leaving education and more!

The CSA a few years ago deleted the wrong child as last liable child, deleting the younger rather than the older child. Maintenence was paid for a year before my husband who was not with me at the time realised. We pointed out the mistake and they said anything paid to the older child would be carried over to the younger child it should have been paid for.
Roll-on two years and the younger child has left education aswell so no more children at all to pay for. We tell them and letter comes back saying liabilty ended for older child three years after it should have done and no letter appears for the younger one at all.
It therefore looks like they made the same mistake again and its just dawned on me the worst case senario would be that money paid to the older child has not been passed over, ( have previously been told legally irretreavable from other parent) and that he would have to pay for the younger child again.
My husband wants to find out when the actual date was that Child Benefit stopped being paid for these two children as this would serve as absolute proof of dates liability ended. They don't currently live with him and haven't done so for many years.
What is the best way of going about it with Child Benefit?
Would he have to prove he is their father, is he even entitled to ask for this information?
Also any advice in retreaving any information in relation to the errors and dealing with them in this case would be appreciated as this mistake amounts to alot?
Many Thanks

Hi,
Over payments made due to agency error, although possibly unretrievable from the PWC, should be re paid by the agency to the NRP.
Child benefit will not advise you regarding dates etc.
You can apply for your Data Protection file, which should contain all the info the agency hold on you. Google afairercsaforall, there is a template letter in the download section, if it helps. The agency now charge a fee of £10 for this, do not sent cash or a cheque. Postal orders should be made payable to; CSA

Thank you so much.
Thats just what I needed!
