Best variable and fixed rate mortgage?

Hi,

I am just wondering if the First Direct Base Rate tracker mortgage is still the best available on the market (65% LTV), i.e. the one with the lowest rate on top of the BBR.

Rate is currently 2.59% (Bank of England Base Rate plus 2.09%), with £500 arrangement fee and offset facility.

What would be the best fixed rate available for 3 years and similar LTV?

I see FD also has a Life Tracker mortgage at BBR + 1.89%, currently 2.39%.

Seems the same as the above, apart from no offset facility, and no ability to pay interest only if needed.

Well, I was expecting that type of answer. The issue is some lenders are not advertising the best rates everywhere, and brokers don't have access to all mortgages, so I am relying on the wisdom of the crowd...
