I'm going through a bit of a rough time at home at the moment, having a few arguments with DH that end of with the waterworks!
I'm looking for a waterproof mascara that won't break the bank and that DOES NOT smudge -giving me panda eyes. Does such a mascara exist??
I have some points on my Boots card so preferably mascaras from their range, I had been using Boots No 7 waterproof mascara but this gives me panda eyes.
Can anyone suggest anything?
Thanks

I have exactly the same problem with smudging mascara
. The only one that I have found that doesn't smudge is Blinc, but it's not cheap at about £16/£17...*however*, I am using the "tester" size at the moment (recent convert) which you can buy off the blinc website for £2.50 so you can see if it actually works for you
Hope this helps0 -
I like Maybelline Volum' expresss turbo boost waterproof in Turbo Black. No-one seems to talk about it much, but it is definitely my favourite ever waterproof. Thick and hard to budge!0

Eyelash dye!
I dye mine every 4-6 weeks as I always end up with panda eyes whichever brand I use.0 -
Hi, use Clarin's double fix mascara. Not exactly MSE, but is worth the money. It's a clear mascara that you use over any normal mascara that you like, and makes it waterproof and smudgeproof.0

I'd say every single mascara I have tested smudges to some extent in water- thats without rubbing and just my eyes blinking. I have tried everything from Boots 17 to YSL and Chanel, Clinique, Boot No.7, Rimmel, Maybelline, Bonjours, Clarins.....and its the same with them all, just some worse then others.
For real shiftless eye makeup, go to a professional salon, get them dyed. Can cost anything from £5 to £25 depending on where you go but they wont extend your lashes like most mascaras do, I really think its this extention volumising bit that makes mascaras smudge, the extention/volumising particles are not so closly stuck onto your lashes so when mixed with water, are at best likely to flake off and at worst likely to mis with the water and leave smudge marks on your face. Thats just my observation anyway.0 -
Hi thanks for the replies, the thought of getting my eye lashes dyed makes me a tad squemish, I hate anyone touching my eyes or eye area. I must have been the biggest headache for my make up artist at my wedding as I just can't handle people coming anywhere near my eyes!!!!
I'm off to Boots this lunchtime, so will use the information I have here.

You can dye them yourself with a kit from Boots if you don't want a pro to do it.
I prefer to have mine dyed for me as it gives me an excuse to lie down for 10 minutes! You just lie there with your eyes closed whilst they brush dye on to the lashes and then wipe it off again 10 minutes later.
The thought of putting contact lenses in though makes me squirm!0 -
The most AMAZING mascara is Maybelline Pulse Perfection. About £15 in Boots, but i got the same thing on Ebay for £5.50 ish.
It is absolutely great!!!
Trust me, once you get this, you won't want to try anything else
