But he won't be able to get to and from work every day Bun which is the reason he was going to get the bike fixed. He just needs to get rid of it, and use the money to get himself a place.

Asked him what his sister had said about loaning him some money....very obvious he is lying and hasn't even bothered to phone her.

I will be so pleased to get shot of him out the house

Sally, I think you're doing the right thing - him having the car for now will ensure that he at least gets to the job and can start to sort himself out. This stage was always going to be the hardest but it does get better....hang on in there.

Luc and Cat - Every stage is like that with kids - it doesn't get any easier either....when I watch boys stop and stare at my DD's I want to go hit them and scream "they're my babies, you can't stand there looking and having those sort of thoughts about them!!!!! "

Gonzo - thanks for that I'm now wandering around the town in google maps....:D Hadn't realised they'd done everywhere now.

Luc, accountants are always looking for people of your calibre....as you know accountants have peaks and troughs of work.

I was told just by my doc that i should wait six months before even attempting to come off my ad's....

Sal I think he is trying to blackmail you as well.....you have every right to throw him out on the street with all his stuff........I am soo angry for you right now.

Cat did you get my link....

Sally, does his family know about the split? Maybe that's one of the reasons he doesn't want to ask them for money?

    Hi
Hope the phone rings soon Bunny.
    Welcome back to Cat.
Luc - don't really know what to say. You've had a bittersweet sort of year much as I have had and I feel close because of the 2 little men being the same age. Obviously I didn't have the PMD thrown in!
I was despairing of getting a job but, fingers crossed, I'm settled into 1 now. It's all due to the help and support of this forum that I am where I am now so feel free to have a moan or rant -nobody will mind.
Very bady put but HANG ON IN THERE something will turn up for you. :grouphug:

Thanks Bookie. I know eventually something will turn up but, as you know yourself, until it does it all just looks so bleak:(

I'm kind of a victim of my own success - if I hadn't specialised in tax and had done more audit/accounts prep there are plenty of jobs available. And in good times it wouldn't be so hard to change direction but at the moment here's a lot of experienced financial/management accountants either unemployed or looking to move so I'm not getting a look in even though I know (In many cases) I could do the job blindfolded with no hands (arrogant, cocky - moi? Oh yes:p)

Its not arrogant or cocky to know you are good at your job Luc.

I kick serious ARRIS at selling, lol. Also, a very good make up artist. Its good to know your strengths.

Don't they do public transport in Norfolk? Or h might be able to get a car share once he's up there? Unless his job involves travelling about in which case a bike wouldn't really cut it anyway so he should sell it and get his own cheap car...

Awww bless. Daddies and their little girls. :)

If I ever have a daughter my husband is so not going to know what hit him :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

i know scary really i do not know what it is about having a little girl when you are a dad, everyone i know is the same you just can not help getting protective

however i think she has already worked out that if she wants anything a nice kiss and a cuddle with daddy will usualy do the trick, and she is only 20 months old i hate to think what shes going to be like when shes a bit older

probably made worst that she is learning from her 13 year old big sis,
    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)
