Credit Resource Solutions STOLE from my bank account!

I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but it is debt related so I guess it fits.
I logged into my online banking and found two payments which were listed as going to WWW. CREDITRESOURCE ... I had no idea who they were so I did a quick search on Google which came up with Credit Resource Solutions as a likely candidate.
I then phoned Barclays phone banking to query the payments and they gave me a contact number for the payee which was a Halifax number, which just happens to be where Credit Resource Solutions are based.
Now I have had NO previous contact with a company called Credit Resource Solutions, I certainly did NOT authorise two payments of £30 on two consecutive days, and I have no idea who they are, what they are charging me for or how they got my details.
I would just like to know if anyone else has had the same or similar experience, and what protection do I have if these payments do (as I strongly suspect!) turn out to be fraudulent?

hi
they appear to be debt collectors from googling them what kind of payment did they take? DD SO card?
have you spoketo any DCAs recently about any debts you have?0 -
If you have not recently spoken to any-one about any recent debts, can you think of anything you may have forgotten to pay in the last 6 years? Or had hassle with when paying/closing accounts? Have you recently moved address and perhaps not received mail?
It seems likely (though this is my opinion only and I'm no expert) that a company somewhere believed you owed them money and therefore have sold the debt onto a debt collection agency.
How they've taken money from your account, if you are absolutely certain you have not given your details or consent, is more concerning. But again, I'm not sure how different debt collection agencies work so I'm not sure if that's a common practise or not.
Hopefully there'll be a night owl reading with more knowledge than I have.

barclays payday loans and zopa seem to use them from googling them
someone else may know more about them but if you did not autho a payment to them i would have your bank look into it
sorry i cant help any futher but this should bump you up and someone else maybe able to give you more help0 -
If you are sure that you did not authorise anyone to take such payments, then report it to your bank as fraudulent transactions, and ask that any further payments to that company be blocked. If the payment was taken via your card (the bank should be able to tell you) then cancel the card and ask for a new one.
Ask them to trace the transaction - once the fraud allegation is on file, they are obliged to provide some level of investigation. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Seems as though CRS may have made a mistake and taken funds from the wrong account, one they weren't authorised to take money from. Hopefully they will be able to clarify why they did this.
If it's not legitimate and they for some reason decline to correct it then tell your bank that you want to invoke the direct debit guarantee and have them credit your account while barring CRS from taking more unauthorised payments.
Please let us know how this progresses.0
