Why does my credit report not show my mortgage?

Hoping someone can help me?
Yesterday I applied for a credit report with Equifax which strangely doesn’t seem to be showing the mortgage I applied for and proceeded from Northern Rock back in 2006. Could this have something to do with the fact that myself and my ex split in 2007 and I transferred the mortgage into his name?
You see I’m trying to apply for a mortgage at present and am just weary that there may be some kind of knock on affect. I’m aware that some mortgage providers do ask the applicant if they have had/applied for a mortgage in the past but should I bring this up with the potential mortgage provider if it isn’t showing on my credit report?
Any assistance/advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Natalie

Hello
I am surprised at that. It should show at least as a financial link.
Did you get your report via credit expert? if not go there and get a free trial and you may find its there."Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies." Thomas Jefferson

That's quite right.
Not all mortgage lenders updated credit agencies a few years ago but many more of them now do so.
It was quite common practise some years ago that when remortgaging the new lender would ask for a mortgage statement from the previous lender as they had no way of knowing if your payments were up to date or made on time.

lucky you
i got 12 searches in 4 months almost all named ''first morgage''
credit rattting before these earches =970

On yesterday's report it shows that I am a financially linked with him regarding a loan and previous account we had but that's it. Both of which have now been settled.
I'm quite confused on this as I originally applied for the Decision in Prinicpal for the previous mortgage in October 2005, completed in Feb 2006 and signed the house over to him and his new partner in May 2007.
I applied for the report through equifax who I thought were quite reliable - I believe they are part of Credit Expert?
What is even stranger is that after I signed the house etc over and changed the bank account previously held with him into my name only, I applied for a report through Equifax in November 2007, it does show as a connection then as a joint application through NRock but no sign of it now on the most recent report???? I did ask to be dissasociated with him but can only presume this wasn't carried out as he is still showing associated now for the loan and the account although it states the last time it was updated was 2006?
Hope this all makes sense and I really do appreciate any assistance you can offer...I'm so confused as I just want to be able to move on with my life!0 -
I know this might sound silly, but have you updated all previous addresses (from the last 5 years) on there? I had the same issue, then updated, gave it 24 hours and everything was on there, inc my mortgage.0

Our mortgage is not on our credit report - we took it out in 2006 also. Checked a few reports and nope - not there.0
