Hi,
Do I have to use a solicitor for remortgage? I got a flat, and am thinking about remortgage.
Thanks.

HI this depends when you say re mortgage i you borrowing more money on the same house from the same lender if so depending on the lender you don usually unless you choose to seek independent advice.
If your remortgageing from another lender to a new lender they usually supply a free legal service for you so they can apply the relevant charges over the property.
If your house is debt free and you want to raise money you usually would need a solicitor as the lenders only usually release the money to a solcitior of course some lenders have their free service for this too. hope it helps0 -
