Hello
I appreciate this might not be the right forum, however......
I am looking for some help to get rid of approximately £40 in old english coins (50p's 10p's shillings etc)
Have tried the Bank of England who are not interested. I was thinking of Ebay but thought I would see if anyone on here had any bright idea's / experience of this.
Ultimately the £40 (if made) will go towards my credit card debt so in a way this is the right forum

I almost think I read something only the other day that said BoE would honour money back to 1902 (or some equally old date) - can't recall where though (sorry) - or maybe it was only notes in that instance.
If you go for ebay maybe you could try listing them individually focusing on the date -depending on how old they are that is. Only I bought a 2shilling piece for my mum from her year of birth for her birthday once (it was to go with something else!). And I also know someone who bought one to plant under a rememberance tree that was as old as the person who the tree was for.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
