Am i being taxed correctly?

hi this is my first job and ive been in it for 5.5months and i am unsure if i am still being taxed right?
my tax code is 647L
i payed in my last pay check P.A.Y.E 50.00 Nat Ins. 34.54
Another thing i am wondering is my gross pay is 5197.51 and my taxable pay is the same do i not get an allowance of 6470??

Put your figures into here and it should tell you.
Not sure of NI limits, but yes, I'd say you should not be paying any tax if that is your salary.?
Edit: The gross pay will likely be to date not for whole year, so your tax allowance will be spread over the year?.

You are on emergency code. You need to ask your employer for a form P46 which you sign to say this is your first job. Your employer then puts you on 647L cumulative and refunds the tax. Do it now so that it can take effect before the end of the tax year.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

is it definetly the emergency tax code cos on hmrc it says this is the same code for basic allowance aswell.0
