i need some advice, i had a lloyds tsb credit card long time ago, and cut a long story short have been paying bls back at £25 a month it is now down to £700 :j i pay by paying in book as i refuse to set up a direct debit or standing order and to cut a long story short think i missed a payment, which i have done from time to time, just get a scary reminder and as long as its paid i hear no more,
this time was different i paid and heard no more then about 3 weeks after paying they sent me a letter demading the full £700 ish NOW or court etc, i am sick of the whole thing with them now and just want it gone, i get a bomus from work and can raise £450 which i have offered them as full and final settlement i sent a without prejudice letter
now this was 2 weeks ago and i havent heard back and am now worried about court etc,
should i
1) wait to hear back OR
2) pay my £30 monthly payment and write again
i refuse to deal with them by phone but was even wondering if i should ring them
any help gratefully recieved i sent the letter to the oxford address so if i do write again it will be the the CDA dept in Brighton

I would pay your next £30 when you normally would.
You might then want to try resending the F&F offer - did you use the national debtline template for this? Its a good one to use but you might also want to put a deadline on when the offer must be accepted by them (perhaps given them 2weeks from when you write).
Have you ever asked for the CCA on this account? and have you ever looked into whether it would be legally enforceable in court?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Always deal with them in writing. Don't be tempted to phone.
I initially said don't pay them anything while waiting for a reply but I'd defer to Tixy on this one. Are you sure they have received the letter (e.g. can you prove it?)If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
