Oredering wedding and flowergirl dresses

Hi Everyone

Hope one of you experts on here can give me some advice.

Me and OH are getting married in new york at the beginning of December and I have started to look at dresses and ive finally found one i love at Honey pie boutique, a lovley 50's style one. The lady who makes them advises on her website that it takes 10-12 plus deleivery so approximately 3 months, so i would have to order it at least at the beginning of September.

The lady makes them to standard dress sizes so theres a chance i will have to visit a seamstress to do some alterations. Can anybody advise how long these can take (just approximatley), i was thinking about ordering it at the beginning of july to give me approx 8 weeks to get it sorted, do you think that would be enough time?

Im also looking for a couple of flowergirl dresses, ive looked at all the high street shops and tbh nothing really grabs me. does anybody know of any good online shops that do flowergirl dresses that they've ordered from, ive had a quick look and there is so many so was just hoping to narrow a few down

Have you thought of looking on Ebay for your flower girl dresses? Quite often pairs of flower girl dresses come up and some of them are truely stunning.



Ive bought everything from Ebay so far. Plenty of Moneysaving, im determined not to compromise on my big dream wedding, so im buying things cheaper and 2nd hand so i dont have to give anything up. Its working a treat.

I agree, Ebay can be great for getting decent wedding stuff without paying top dollar, well worth having a look IMO
