Wow LMC, 6 months without seeing him! Can't imagine what that must be like. Not surprised you are excited and nervous.

I've got pork in cider casserole in the slow cooker for tonight (for the kids and Stu), but hadn't realised I'd run out of carrots, so it has potatoes, peppers, onions and sweetcorn in instead...not quite sure how that will turn out!

    Carrots are sooooo 2008 dahlink......

  • Cheers Claire and Snaggle. I know everything will be fine, it will take a bit of getting use to, but it will be fine!

We're going on holiday too - I just hope it doesn't snow. You'd not think that Vegas would get snow but it does. :rotfl::rotfl:

I'll look forward to seeing the before and after pics Claire.

    Hope R recovers ok Snaggs!

I've made scabby turtles for tea, had my smoked haddock, dishwasher is on, beds are stripped, bins emptied and 2nd load of washing in, I think I was a bit too generous with the suds though, I can't see in for bubbles!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.

What on earth are scabby turtles???

Maz, so my casserole is a bit fashion forward you reckon? Rather than just a load of old veg that doesn't go together? :rotfl:

    Tired this morning? ;)

    scabby turtles are stuffed potatoes!

    My mum's famous recipe!
Bake some potatoes, scoop out the inside and mix with cooked egg, bacon, onion, cheese, mushrooms or whatever you've got handy or left over.
pack the filling back into the potato skins then bake in oven for 15 mins. cheap, easy & GORGEOUS!!!!
