If you read my post then you would see that i am walking straight in to another job:rotfl: It is just less money than i am getting at the moment.
I cannot touch my mortgage as i am tied in for another 2 years, and it will be approx £2500 to get out:rolleyes:
yeh i read it but i meant to put you wanted benifits... not want. missed the ed.

As for the £2500 to get out - what a sham imo. can you pay extra but not the full amount? so they only have like £5 mortgage left?

you would have been entitled to job seekers allowance (contribution based).

not with nearly £50k in the bank. DWP only give if you have under £6k savings, and if you have more, the money gets less. They would see that you can live off £50k easy enough without having to get paid pittance per week

NO! not a chance i have 22 years of a civil service pension, and TBH i want to enjoy life a bit aswell:beer:
I think i am going to put £20k into Premium bonds and some in ISA's and savings.
The rest will pay off credit cards/car.
I miscalculated the redundancy lump sum by quite a bit:rolleyes: 5k to be exact:T
