Wow

Havent used them before, but that is about to change.0 -
sounds very good. but I can't find the support contact details. I guess I should not expect support with such good price. After a simple search, a similar company called THE REGISTRY LIMITED was dissolved on 30/08/2005. hope this is not the same company. I would wait for more feedback.0

I would certainly register the domain with a reputable firm, perhaps fasthost and administer all dns changes yourself as you always have control of the domain name. And try the hosting. If the hosting is rubbish, you can always go elsewhere with no hassle...Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0

So its only been around a few weeks?? Probably worth avoiding then, im in the process of creating some small sites which only need to be online for a year at the most, does anybody know anywhere I can get a years domain name and hosting as cheap as possible.
I already have hosting for one site, is it possible for me to point the domain name to a diff directory on this server?
Thanks, Shane0 -
i use krystal
http://www.krystal.co.uk/
was the cheapest around when i looked a few years ago, has gone up a bit, but can tell you havent had any problems with downtime or anything in my time with them
as for redirecting with hosting, im guessing they do :-/ isnt it all to do with the nameservers thing?
best bet is to email and ask0 -
Try
https://www.telivo.com
.co.uk domain names are only £5 for 2 years.
hope this helps. I bought 3 domain names from them and pointed them at my website. it all went through within 2 hours0 -

Everything does seem ok until you read the CG Credit Geneva's Supplier Agreement and Operating Rules and Regulations and Prohibited Products List and then things get very confusing. No idea why some of those clauses are included in those T&C's for a simple webhosting package.EGG are a bunch of complete bankers!0 -
a lot of MSErs on here use https://www.jamroll.net - which is 100% free and has some advanced hosting features too like mysql and php.
You do need your own domain though ... so the total outlay can be as low as a few quid every couple of years for a .co.uk.
I use them and got my domain from 123reg.co.uk (owned by pipex).
Been with them for nearly a year now and its been faster than my previous paid hosting. Best deal around for any personal site IMHO. I would put a business site on there but no guaranteed service or support.
The support is great though.0
