hi all,

I have been BR since 23/09/09, not heard form the Or at all and every thing has been good so far.

Today out of the blue my manager told me i would be getting a bonus of £380 in my pay this month at first i was really shocked sat back at my desk and remember sh@t better tell the OR

Rang him up and he wasn't sure at first he said they make take some of it as a contribution towards the BR he then said to put it in writing and he will get back to me

so any one had this before and what happen or any advice???

Opps just noticed the spelling mistake

My experience when undischarged BR was that they asked for 50% of some additional money I earnt (not a bonus but was extra earnings). However, ORs are only human and can vary.
  • still not had a reply to the email i sent the OR

think i will leave it till Wednesday and ring him again

Ouch that seems a bit harsh, if you had an IPA you would only have to pay a %, can you go back to them and question it???

And it always makes me laugh when they ask for a cheque, I think it says more about them than us doesn't it?

when i first told them he said they may take some of the bonus so i was hoping i would be left

Me too, I got a one off bonus and got to keep it all. Doesn't seem fair does it?
    :D
  • no not really if they wanted some of it then i wouldn't be bothered or if it was a monthly bonus

i would feel cheeky ringing them and saying look its a one off bonus can you re assess it please
  • oh well rung the or and they said its the same and i can give the money to someone else so they can send the cheque

I have read on here that when people have phoned OR, they have let them keep it as it is not worth collecting
