I hope someone can help me. My youngest spilt sweet and sour sauce on my wool cream rug. I have tried every stain remover going (including stardrops!) but its still there, laughing at me.
Any ideas gratefully received!!

Have you tried vanish in the spray bottle? Thats what I use on our beige carpet.I bought the bottle when we put the carpet down about 2 years ago and there is still loads even though we do spill things sometimes. Most recently it was printer ink.Took about 6 goes in a row and it was gone.
Its had black grease from OH's motor bike boot on it once too.0 -
I'm on about my 4th lot of vanish power shot so perhaps should persevere!! Its my own fault really - dark blue carpet that shows every crumb and cream rug that shows every stain. I think wood flooring is the way to go!!Auntie Savingsgirl 24/9/06 :j0

Have you tried Stain devil's no 6 ( supposed to be for red wine etc ?) I used this yesterday on a dried in red wine stain on a cream carpet which i had cleaned with every product i had in the house ( and that was a lot ) . I was simply amazed at the result as I had given up ever getting it clean. It says it will remove fruit juice too.0

Try a carpet cleaner called Release - I think its available online from a company called Premier Products. It shifted a Bacardi Breezer stain from our beige carpet. If there was any red food colouring in that sauce it might take a few attempts.I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.
