Anyone had any problems with Alibaba.com

Hi all, i am thinking about using alibaba.com to try start making a little bit of extra dough on the site, just wondered if anyone has had problems with them in the past, the member i am hoping to deal with is a gold verified member if that helps, just a bit wary of the bank transfers using T/T or western union, they said they would invoice any purchases, would this help, thanks in advance

Hi, anything i've ever heard/read about Alibaba, no matter what type of seller they are, there has only ever been one piece of advice. Steer Clear. Never used it, but never heard 1 good thing about it. Ithink there may be a thread somewhere on this site that mentions it as a no go area.

The only thing i heard from someone who had registered and bought some test items was it is a great place to buy 'look a like' (ie fake) items, which of course cannot be sold legally in the UK. They might just have been unlucky though as they were mainly looking to buy small electronic and media type items.

Don't forget as well that if buying from outside the uK you will need to add all the duty and tax payable to the item cost plus the courier handling fees. You also get no protection whatsoever if using bank transfers or Western Union, but they are normal ways to pay for stock from the Far East..
