Working cash in hand as a second job?

I'm not sure where I advocated it...? I simply pointed out that not all the advantages lie with the employer (and also that there is a risk of being caught).0

Being paid in cash is one thing – as long as the correct deductions are made and shown on your payslip. I read the OP’s post as meaning cash in hand - no questions asked.
As already mentioned all the benefits with the latter interpretation are with the employer. The worker may not even get NMW, no contributions will be made to your NI and you will not be insured. Any additional income may also affect your entitlement to any benefits.
Again, as already mentioned, questions have to be asked if you are morally ok with cheating the public purse but use any of the services that are provided by it e.g. NHS.
