Lifes to short, this is just a forum!

Hi all.

We all love MSE but of late we have had a few spats and silly threads that need to be kept in the playground. (Me included).

Can we all be nice and love each other! We all have our own opinions, we dont have to agree with them and we are not always correct but we have to respect each other as grown ups!

We still have to tell it as it is, not all opinions or answer are what the op wants to hear, thats tough and the nature of this forum. But rudness and bullying should not be a part of it.

Thanks

Yes you are right. We, the members of MSE really love each other and always try to stand by other members of this forum. Some opinions may not suit some experts but rather than misbehaving they should leave that particular post.

DAN - there is a brand of reactionary person, usually of the Daily Mail bent, that see the world through a narrow tunnel, and don't have the intellectual capacity to absorb the totality of reality.

For example those nthat claim 100% mortgages are evil.

An examination of 100% mortgage reveals less than 1% get repossessed.
Ok some are in neg - eq, just as freinds of mine were in the last recession, but 99% of them WILL get though it.

The reactionary red kneck types seem unable to process these realities, and automatically default to a very bizzare fringe bent where they assume anyone with a 100% mortgage is very likely to be in dire straights when in reality millions of us started with 100% mortgages and went onto prosper.

Its the same type of person that would assume Islam is wicked or would fume about the youth of today (just as did the same reactionary people in 1850 and 1950 - everything always getting worse / bound to end in tears.)

Essentially this type needs to learn how to process the facts rather than thier uber narrow world view.

Quote from a mortgage adviser: There are companies that will lend without income proof as long as the property owner 'intends' to let the place. Rates crica 4%. A good broker will be able to help as long as you plan to let it out.
I guess we will always have they type who sail close to the wind and encourage people to be dishonest with words in phrase/commas...and also those that tout for business covertly.
