Recommendations needed.

Recently I've had trouble sleeping, tried some relaxation music and special how to get a better sleep cds but to be honest none work infact they have kept me up or kept me running to the loo (water sounds).

So last night I put a couple of audio comedy sitcoms on my mp3 and I had a better sleep, when I woke up in the early hours I was back to sleep within 10 mins.

So what I want are some recommendations of audio comedies stories/sitcoms. Last night I listened to Clare in the community, Miranda Hart's Joke Shop and House on Fire. I hope they make another series of House on Fire cos I liked that but also I hope they remake it into a tv show.

I have the same problem as you Freespirit. I'm a light sleeper. I listen to recordings of I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, Milton Jones (very funny), or any of the comedies that are on BBC7. I have some podcasts too of Traces of Nuts. Sometimes rude, but funny. I never actually get the end of a program before I'm off.

I like Ed Reardon's Week......it's a Radio 4 comedy originally like some of the others you mention & the first couple of series are available on audiobook. He's a writer who sort of can't accept that he's rubbish. He's also very tight with his money which gets him into all sorts of problems. It's worth listening to Radio 7 as they play a lot of re-runs of old comedy shows orignally played on Radio 4, then you can try & get the audiobooks if you like them.
