Well that's probably why you're being turned down - £8000 is a lot of money to borrow for someone who lives with their parents.

If you don't have a mortgage or long credit track record - then your credit rating is not "999" - no matter what anyone tells you. You will not be considered a wonderful risk. And by continuously applying for more credit - you are just knocking your credit worthiness even further.

Your best bet is to go into your bank and talk through arranging a loan with them. You have credit history with them so they may listen.

You should be prepared to revise how much you want to borrow if need be.
You should look to get the financial link removed with your parents (it's one letter and really easy to do).

you can apply for a notice of disassociation to be put on your credit file to remove the financial link..

^ agreed! Do as suggested and make sure it has taken effect before you carry out any more searches (as too many searches could be your next problem).

By any chance, do you live with your parents and share your father forename?it could be a joint search by them has been incorrectly applied to you an your mum. Shouldn't do with different DoBs but I've read of it happening to other people.

Eons ago, my father and I had two totally seperate finance agreements with the same company. Two totally different forenames, completely different initials and dates of birth. I settled my finance early, the finance co settled my Dad's agreement by mistake.

Also, my brother and I banked at the same bank and my salary was credited to his account, completely different account numbers and different employers.

The point of this is, all data entry requires 100% accuracy for date to be 100% accurate.

Using the money making scam score predictor in Experian i'd imagine. The same magic number everyone quotes on here as saying 999 or thereabouts and wondering why they cant get credit.

The truth is, it is totally meaningless. The account conduct and amounts owing are the key details, not Experians magic number. No lender sees this number.
