F&F Settelments

Hi All,

About two weeks ago i sent F&F Settlement letter to my debt companys.

Thing is i have not heard anything of them and was just wondering what my next step is? Do i wait a bit longer for reply, ring them or send another letter?

Any help you can give would be great.

    Hi Gems,

When you sent the letters, did you give the lenders a time period to respond to you? If not, I would send them a second letter, enclosing a copy of the first letter, and set a 2 week time limit on them replying. Forward date it a day or two and send it recorded delivery.

Depending on the circumstances of the debt and the F&F offer, you need to set some terms for them to accept it under. Have a look at http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=24_full_and_final_settlement_offers for some templates on what to do under a F&F. May help.

Not sure what the legal options are for you once the lender does not reply. Not sure if they even have to reply or just continue to hunt you.

    Good luck.
