Tesco PPI meant i couldn't make my payments on time.

Hi all, this is my first post. I made a claim last year against Tesco for PPI insurance that never covered me for being out of work. They offered me just over £1300, which i accepted.
What i need to know is, now they have accepted they were in the wrong, do i have any come back regarding my credit report with this loan. My credit report shows that the last 6 months of the loan i had late payments, this was due to me being out of work and being unable to make my payments on time.
I didn't make the payments on time because i couldn't afford the full amount (including the PPI cover) and now this has affected my credit rating. Do i have any comeback regarding this?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I'm really not sure how the legalities of this work.
One would assume that if the late payments and any subsequent default were the result of misrepresentation by the lender, then the default shouldn't stand, but i don't know how you'd argue this.
I know you've been bouncing around the boards a bit, but unless anyone else can suggest anything, i think it may be worth posting this on the consumeractiongroup forum. I usually go there to find any legal arguments or angles.
Knowing the banks though, you would need to argue the case to get any comeback from it.After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
