Johnsakri, Have you received it yet? Have you set it up with any maps etc. Do you reckon it will be any good in the car?
    cheers

I currently have the Navman Pin 570. I was going to buy this but after reading the reviews about it's recharging connector being a bit delicate put me off. There are quite a few reviews on Amazon.co.uk which say the same thing. So be careful if you have it, and think about buying the Navman which is a much more solid unit all round and was selling for £99 at Halfords!

not really i had mine for 3 years now and had no issues, its a good pda got bluetooth, the battery is great! only issue is that if you forget to charge it and leave the battery dead after a while you will loose all your data, so make sure you make it up either on pc or sd card! if you want wifi get a wifi sd card!

    hope this helps!

By refurbished they probably mean "had the connector repaired" - the acer N35's are notorious for their connector, which combines power with data in one flimsy, delicate port.

    Good price though :-)

trl002 has yours the built in gps.. any advice on that side of things. pro's/cons
  • Yes i received it on saturday.

it was sealed, came with everything you could expect - and the price, my GOD....

I bought it without any sat nav software, as i already have tomtom 6. I installed tomtom 6 on the pda and it worked a gem - does exactly as expected,

Johnsakri, I'm really tempted. How much do you reckon Tom Tom 6 would set me back on top of the price of it.. I think I might go for it, but if TT6 is another 150 quid maybe it will be false economy...

Oh and does yours have Bluetooth? In the reviews I found some do/some don't.
Lol by the time I make up my mind bet they are all sold out!

Wonder how much the SD WiFi costs?
  • Tomtom 6

Its only £69.99 from Innovations UK

The best thing is then its all complete. nothing else required.

Wifi card's are not really needed unless you want internet access in places like starbucks.

    hope this helps.
