To boost income...

This could well be in the wrong section so apologies if it is. Does anyone know the best way to advertise for a housemate? (Preferably free!!)
I'm sharing with two people in Farnham, Surrey as our last housemate moved out a while ago, and now we'd like to advertise for someone again. If anyone has any links / tips etc then that would be great.

Thanks

advertise at the art college or the hospital (used to live in Farnham). They will probably have accomodation offices with lists of people needing places.

newsagents will only be a couple of £.

https://www.spareroom.co.uk, you can advertise a room or look for flatshare on this site. Registering is free, am not sure if there are any charges along the way as have not done more than look for available rooms as yet. I found it a useful site, hope that helps!:)

You can try easyroommate on www.uk.easyroommate.com/index.cfm?Countrycode=uk&LCode=uk_en. When I used it (about a year ago), it was free to register for Silver membership, where you could only send emails to gold members. To become a gold member cost about £20 for 10 days. I assume that the situation hasn't changed too much.

    Good luck with finding someone.

P.S. there are a number of threads on here about what to do when you have a lodger. They are worth a read, if nothing else.
