Either no-one on here lives in Groomsport or Millisle or they don't have anything nice to say about them! I've spotted a house in Groomsport but it's close to the main Bangor Road so handy for the sea front but maybe too much traffic noise? I see Groomsport has The Stables and the Groomsport Inn along with a supermarket (Spar maybe) but apart from that there doesn't seem to be much. I don't really know the Dee too well apart from a couple of meals in Pier 36 so I might have to take a drive around them both and get a better idea of what is there.

Thank you for all the helpful opinions so far - much appreciated

millisle..... you're having a laugh!!! if you can name all the places thats worrying. everything thats there is poor and theres no choice - bad or bad - the place shuts down in winter. despite the new housing developments in the palce, there is no real commercial or retail developments in the place. its more like a commuter town. I possibily wouldnt recommend it

Its really not that bad, driving along the counrty roads into Millisle is like a breath of fresh air and to live beside the sea is just lovely. its by no means a town but there is certainly enough for people to get by, Each to their own... I love living in Millisle :T

It's all a matter of personal opinion isn't it? Just like the thread on Bangor West, you gets what you pays for. So what is Bangor West like? I quite like period properties and I see there are lots near Maxwell Road (Microsoft Bing maps are fantastic for having a great nosey when you use the birds eye view).

So what's it like near Maxwell / Princetown / Raglan / Downshire?
