Can anyone recommend a cheaper/better way of sending a 1.88m long package within the UK than http://www.parcelflash.com, who want £11.74?

If you have a local branch you can try calling them to query it, or better drop in and go to the Customer Service desk."I am not Geoff Vadar, I'm Darth Vadar"0 -
Staples will deliver anythink as long as 1 person can carry it in to the store and it costs £8.
Also Royal Mail dont go on size just weight but it means a journey to ur post office:ASexy_fufu:A0 -
I have received a 1.9m parcel through Royal Mai I know somewhere on their website they say 1.8m is the limit but obviously they didn't measure mine.

Maximum length 4 feet, unfortunately. Thanks for your reply though.0 -
If the item is thin as well as long , put it along the diagonal of a square box, thus making the length of the parecel shorter.0

I take it that the application of trigonometry solved your problem?0

Yes - fab example of thinking outside of the box. Or actually, thinking in a bigger box than the original thing was in. Which is ridiculous when you think about it ... but that's Royal Mail for you.0
