hiya im a litte stumped still cos i understand the above and id got it but now im looking at it again and the last colum does not make sense to me

2 so looking at the 32 as the last 2 figures of the grid, then 11 and 20 make 31 not 32
sorry if ive not explained it well but im going by now that the answer of 32 is really only for the last row of 8 x 4 =32?
and thus the colums doenst make a difference?

If I'm reading this right and ppd can correct me if I'm wrong, the digits on the right hand side of the totals i.e the units of 11 & 20 & 32 (1,0 & 2) are not used. You still have to put the + & = in (ie 1+0+2=3) though. I think that's right.
