just wanted to say that this info is correct, im form belfast originally though in england now, my mum still lives in belfast and cards etc i send her go with a normal 1st/2nd class stamp, likewise stuff she sends me is normal uk stamps. courier companies try to charge more but for royal mail its uk just the same as posting something nottingham to london eg.

southern ireland is europe, is classed as a foreign country to even northern ireland hence th eneed to get things checked for their. always seemed stupid to me but they are two different countries, just as france is a different country to germany or italy or any other neighbours iyswim?
Can I just add a couple of points already brought up :-

AFAIK Belfast Telegraph comps should be a normal stamp because it has a UK postcode, Southern Ireland doesn't have postcodes so will cost more but Belfast is totally fine with a normal standard 1st/2nd class stamp.

I will try google this later if you wish but from what I remember from a Bratz mad daughter the makers from Barbie took the makers of Bratz to court & won saying they were too similar so were copied from Barbie's, this meant they were no longer allowed to produce ANY merchandise about Bratz in anyway which is why the magazine will no longer be in the shops neither will dolls etc.

Can I just had my own special thanks to the wonderful Princess Pixiedust for all her fantastic work on this thread, I for one totally appriecate it so thank you hun xxxx

P.S Princess you have Kennedy Publishing mags listed as AIOE, which is correct, but then you seem to have all of them listed seperatley - Angelina, Pink, Cute & Busy Time (not sure of anymore?) - would it better to link them like you have The Data Solutions Centre ones? Thanks hun xx

..hasn't existed since 6th December 1922. The name is Ireland.

(unless, of course, you're all referring to Munster).

I seem to remember a comp a while back that was sent to Ireland (as opposed to NI) and a few people had problems with insufficient postage? I think it might have been a Weight Watchers or Slimming World comp??

Anyway, whilst I'm bumping I'd like to say a massive thanks to PPD for all your hard work with this thread and to all of the other regular posters. Thanks very much you are all wonderful! :A

Astonishing isn't it, the amount of Britons who are seemingly unaware that Ireland left the United Kingdom 88 years ago.

    Galaxy Manchester

For your chance to win tickets to see Rihanna perform live in Frankfurt, complete with travel & accomodation, simply tune into Galaxy on Monday 15th March and listen out for two Rihanna tracks played back to back.

When you hear the tracks simply get in touch with the studio!

One lucky caller will be picked at random and asked a simple general knowledge question. If the answer to the question is correct, the lucky listener will be heading off to Frankfurt!

If they get it wrong it will go to the next randomly selected caller.

Chocolate is the answer and I don't give a damn what
